In alignment with the government’s announcement about the VAT Increase the standard rate of VAT will change from 15% to 15.5% on 01 May 2025 and will continue to apply until the effective date of the second rate increase of 0.5% (bringing the VAT rate to 16%) from 01 April 2026. The premium will be increasing by 0.5%, with effect 01 May 2025 and again 01 April 2026 to accommodate the increased VAT amount payable.

All new policies incepting on or after 1 May 2025 will attract VAT at the new rate. In force Monthly Policies with cover effective 1 May 2025 and thereafter, will see an increase in premium to the extent of the change in the VAT rate. Annual or Fixed Term Policies that are due and fully paid before 1 May 2025 are subject to VAT at 15%.
