Possible peanut cross-contamination in soy lecithin

Dear Client and Colleagues

Our team would like to bring to your attention that a report was logged on the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) by Germany in late April (notification 2022:2286) indicating that some soy lecithin supplied from India may be contaminated with peanut, since then there have been sources which have reported the same findings.

We are recommending to our clients to review their soy lecithin ingredient supply chain to assess the vulnerability risk and ultimately to prevent the potential risk to consumers.

To assist you and your team with the management of allergen contamination we have compiled useful resources to consider when reviewing allergen control.
