South Africa's Regulatory Framework

South Africa’s regulatory framework is notoriously complex compared to those of other countries. This can be very challenging, especially if you are new to the industry or to regulations in general.

Find out more about which three applicable departments have regulations relating to food labelling and composition.

Find out what the European Commission and FDA set as a maximum level for inorganic arsenic in infant rice cereals and if the South African regulations define a maximum limit for arsenic in rice-based infant foods specifically.
